Tom van Spronsen

Principal, Operations Manager

Tom is a second generation contractor who started with DM Henderson Roofing Ltd in 1989. Although he received a business degree 17 years ago, Tom feels he received most of his education from growing up in a construction environment under his father, John van Spronsen, who founded DM Henderson Roofing Ltd. Tom oversees the operations and has high standard for quality and professionalism. Tom serves as president of the Dawson Creek Construction Association and is an active participant in the community.

He is married and has four boys. His interests include fishing, camping and hockey.

Dale Brocke

Senior Estimator

Dale Brocke started with DM Henderson Roofing Ltd in 1991.  He has a broad range of experience in all aspects of construction and has a high regard for quality workmanship. Dale has demonstrated himself to be a problem-solver and takes a creative approach to the challenges that arise in the field. Dale is an active member in the community and is a long term resident in Dawson Creek.

Richard Spurrill

Comptroller

Richard had thirteen years experience in the banking industry with the Toronto Dominion Bank, three of which were branch manager in Camrose from 1976 to 1979. Since then, Richard has been comptroller for the Bond Group of Companies. Some of his responsibilities include arranging for financing, controlling cash flow, bonding and insurance, accounts payable, trade credit, collections, and overseeing administration staff.

Safety Coordinator/ Loss Control Supervisor

Howard has been with the company since 2004, coming to us with a wide range of safety experience and skills.  His eighteen years as a Level 3 First Aid Attendant is the foundation upon which he has built his safety career.  Howard’s first responsibility is to the people who work for DM Henderson Roofing Ltd. Managing the Company Safety Program, WCB issues and facilitating safety and trades training are just a few of his responsibilities.

Howard is active in the community, and is happily married with two sons.

Estimator

Dale is the newest addition to our management team. His background as a self employed consultant to the forestry industry for 15 years provides him with the skills to help our company remain competitive. He has played an integral part in bringing our estimating department into the digital age, allowing us to budget and track each job more accurately.

Dale is happily married with four children and is an active member of the community, dividing his spare time between the local speed skating club, and his love of hunting and the outdoors.

Fred Klein

Superintendant

Fred brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to his new position as Superintendant with close to three decades of employment with DM Henderson Roofing Ltd.  Beginning as an apprentice to working as a crew foreman the last several years, Fred’s experience with almost every roofing scenario allows him to offer practical solutions to support the working foremen and their crews, and allows the company to maintain a high working standard from crew to crew.
